Castle Cement is committed to informing its neighbours of developments affecting its works and addressing local concerns. It upholds an ‘open door policy, allowing any local resident to raise questions directly with the works management.

The ‘open door' policy is also extended to the media and the company's works have hosted visits from journalists from national, regional, local and trade press, television and radio

A community newspaper, called Open Door, is produced regularly by the company to inform local communities about a number of issues affecting Castle's operations and public open days are held at each of Castle's three major works.
