Castle Cement meets 25 per cent of the UK demand for cement from three works in north Wales, Lancashire and Rutland supported by marine terminals in Avonmouth and Humberside, and a network of depots.

Castle employs 1,000 people across the UK.
The company has developed over the last two decades into a major force in the UK cement industry.

Through acquisitions, it has brought together regional manufacturing whose history stretches back to the very beginnings of commercial cement production in England and Wales.

Castle Cement operates its business in accordance with an integrated management system, which is externally accredited to ISO14001:2004, OHSAS18001:1999 and ISO9001:2000, the management system standards for Environment, Health & Safety and Quality respectively.

The company is division of
Hanson UK and a part of the HeidelbergCement Group, a global building materials business.
