Agreement
has been reached with Pirson regarding operation of the large crane
for construction on the preheater Tower. A large concrete slab
is being laid alongside the kiln, to provide a stable base upon
which the crane can operate. Work will then start on
completing the top floor 1st stage cyclone.
Refractory
work has been completed in the cooler and the lower stage cyclones
in the Preheater tower.
Cladding
has commenced in the Raw & Coal Mill areas and will progress
quickly over the coming weeks.
Both
robotic cranes have been installed in the Crane Gantry and the
suppliers are currently commissioning them. Work is ongoing
refurbishing the conveyor gantries for the Limestone delivery to
kiln 4 Raw Mill.
There
are now 5 full time members if the commissioning team. They
have been carrying out acceptable checks on machinery in the raw
Mill & Cooler areas. It is proposed to put electrical
power onto the Raw Mill area on the 4th February, so cold
commissioning can start in this area.
Work
has commenced installing the tanks on the Cemfuel Tank farm.
