It's
a bug's life at Padeswood
Castle
Cement is hoping to attract young insect enthusiasts from across the
region to its Cefn Mawr quarry on Tuesday 15 June with its first Bug
Day.
The
event is being timed to run in conjunction with National Insect
Week, a new initiative from the Royal Entomological Society, which
is sponsored by Castle Cement.
With
a whole host of insect activities planned, Bug Day will offer local
schoolchildren and enthusiasts an ideal opportunity to see for
themselves the vast array of wildlife living at the quarry.
As
well as looking out for their favourite creepy-crawlies, young
insect enthusiasts can also visit the wetland area to see the
variety of resident pond life.
